finaly i have been able to get out fishing this summer, the fishing is very good at the moment, most of the fish are being caught on the dry. dadies, caenis, hoppers and midges are catching good fish. very big fish are feeding in the smaller lake. and for the summer they really are fighting well.

hi again, managed to fish a few waters this month, i first tried rosepark. as soon as i got there i saw loads of fish rising for natural (the lake was alive with fish), after asking what the fish were feeding on i dicided to use; mayflies, sedge and i think they are called ceinis??? the fish were hard to tepmed but i managed 3 rainbows and a small wild brown of around a few ounces, very hard fight fish wich leaped and tailwalked so many times i lost count, there were imposible to stop i can only diacribe them as rockets, two rainbows were around the 2.5 pound mark and the other was around 3.5 pound.

hi again, i only managed to fish on a couple of accasions in the last few weeks so i went to rose park. the average size of fish has gone down slightly but good variations of sizes are coming out. the fishery and the fish are in great form and its a pleasure to go and fish there. got a couple of fish, both rainbows, caught on a okey dokey buzzer (i think thats the name of it?) great fight and great eating.

one of the best small waters in the UK. caught a nice 3lb rainbow at the start the fish which fought like a stink, it nearly took all of my backing.i then got broken of by a powerhouse of a fish. as soon as the bad weather came in, the fish stopped feeding. it was early evening and i got some advise from a local, they gave me a very neat fry pattern and i caught instantly. i continued to fish until i caught 4 fish. evry fish belted off taking all my flyline and most of my backing, it is amazing. the realy good thing is you only pay for the fish you catch. my biggest was just over 4lb and the smallest was just under 3lb. altogether i paid around £25. its a bargin!

havnt been able to fish for a while (due to the snow and ice) but just befor christmas i fished rose park trout fishery in aultarnun, their were about 5 other fishermen around the lake, i started fishing with an olive minkie but unfortunatly a fish pulled the tail off it. whilst i was having no luck the other fishermen were catching a few, i ask one of the guys what they were catching on and they gave me an olive damsel gold head. it worked wonders, within 10 minutes i was playing a very strong fish, i played it for quite a while ( it took me half way down the lake!) i maneged to get somone to net the fish, i very nice 4 pound rainbow. i fished on untill dark, catching more strong and very hard fighting trout, i then packed in for the day with 5 rainbow from 2 pound to 4 pound in weight.
I paid : £5 to fish then paid for the fish i caught.
Caught : five
Best fly: olive damsel
Tactics : olive damsel fished 3-6 foot under the surface.

very good little fishery, the clear water is brilliant for stalking and there are alot of big fish cruizin around feeding on naterals.
the fish are fast and strong they will give a good scrap. very good conditiond trout with loads of spots and full of colour.
there is alot of wildlife aound in the wood next to the lakes and alot of insects for the fish to feed on.
loads of fish are feeding on little flies in the surface,
dry fly is certainly and option.
overall a very good fishery.

bottom lake has rainbows, browns, wild browns, blues and a few brooks.

I smell a rat in some of these positive reviews - the 4 and 5 star reviews show the same appalling grammar and lack of knowledge.

3 good reviews below all from the same person, obvious from the terrible spelling and same style of writing! Genuine people dont do this, so clearly this person is connected to the fishery. If you want advertising mate, pay for it, dont spam this site with bs.
